Defence
The defense sector is undergoing major changes, of which we can highlight the introduction of H2 related technologies for energy storage and supply and the increase of biofuels in the energy mix.
In this field we are familiar with the design and construction of made to measure process packages for the defence industry.
Among other important projects BIONET, is supplying to Navantia (the Spanish military shipyard) turn key process equipment for the S-80 series submarines. These are the CO2 disposal system for the Air Independent Propulsion of the submarine and a container desulfuration unit for the purification of liquid biofuels to avoid contamination of fuel cells.
Both projects are based on the scale-up of innovative processes that were developed at lab scale. Bionet has made the transition to an industrial scale application.
So we are used to apply our process engineering know how in the extremely demanding and tough conditions, in terms of materials, space, functionality and quality control (MIL standards, special alloys etc...), of a defense programme.
